Nice stuff!
Am a semi-keen/serious mountain biker, more into trail/all-mountain stuff.
i have a cannondale jekyll 800, and am lucky enough to live right near royal NP for a quick spin midweek and weekends. it's a great way to spend a couple of hours!

cheers,
Juz

well, i wouldn't exactly call myself a serious mountain biker but i do ride every week!!!

i live right near wallarah national park, so i usually go for a spin through there! lots of good terrain, challenging in parts!!!

as for all you downhill-ers...

why don't you upgrade to cross country, become a real man!!!

i ride a jamis durango sport, the only additions a have are a bike computer and a rhynolite rim on the back. i haven't had the money to upgrade bike or anything else for quite a while now...
but it does me fine for now.

cheers,
bryce

Nice bike bb7 rider. I rode one a few weeks ago.

I am into DH, XC and a bit of dirt jumping.

I have a kona stinky set up for downhill, that I race ever now and then and also have a 5 minute downhill track that I helped build. It was used for round 4 of the NSW state series.

I will probably upgrade the stinky next year for a craftworks.

I also have a trek fuel ex7, specialized P.2, a giant XtC 2 set up as a fully rigid singlespeed and a learsport 8500 road bike.

You could say I am into bikes a little bit.

no adreneline rush, if you ever get the chance get out to thredbo in the summer and try and do the dh track in sub 7 minutes
lewy110 the craftworks are an awesome ride i had a run on one at thredbo, chainstays are pretty long which makes them insanely stable at speed bit harder to flick around which personally i dont like but they make an awesome race machine, pretty light too at 9.8 pounds frame and shock
edit: how many bikes do you have crammed into/ onto the defender? 8O

We had 6 bikes and seven people.

I agree about thredbo its awesome. As for a sub 7 minute run thats flying.

My mate did a helmet cam run that took about 6.5 minutes. It some spots it looked like he was on a dirtbike.

I used to be into MTBs, until I realised that at my size they had to be expensive ones or they fell apart beneath me. Then I realised how much dirtbike you got for the same money. Still have a very nice treadlie that I started riding more often with Shay on a borrowed bike - then she crashed it and the interest waned...

went down there to race interschools in january, first practise run broke my wrist, and took the majority of skin off my right forearm there was me off for the weekend. went back again in april with a mate who ran 6:11 at interschools and he said i was about 30 seconds off his time but neither of us had a stopwatch to measure accuratly. FYI the fastest time recorded there was 5:47 by chris kovarik, now thats flying 8O
