    hi again lads,
with that downhill stuff, you guys are definitely younger than me - ie, no fear!
i got the jekyll 800 as could only afford the one machine, and it goes OK downhill (small jumps), but more an all-purpose bit of kit.
impressive times re the downhill runs at thredbo.
i have ridden some of the long firetrails down there (cascades hut etc), and might have to look at doing the down hill next time i am there with one of the RAW NRG bikes they have for hire. sounds pretty mad, but will have to update the health cover!
    cheers,
    Juz

lol, i recognise you two from when I used to browse ****in.net

love the bb7 mate. i was seriously considering buying one, but it would have to be in addition to my DMR trailstar, cause I love it too much to sell it.

i'm in much the same situation as phoenix. i used to ride evry weekend around manly dam in sydney's north and now live within a stones throw of some great tracks on red hill, just near cromer on the northern beaches, but have got too fat and lazy. have a renewed conviction to get back on it after my quack told me to loose weight to get my blood pressure down. quite a few guys in the LROC also ride and have been trying to get them together to run through red hill.
i've got an old (13yr) GT tempest with some early rockshocks, carbon fibre bars, alloy evrything else. was quite a head turner in it's day, almost primitive now!

sweet, theyre awesome bikes for the money, frames are damn light too, as light or ever lighter than a 222 8) only downfall is the wheels, should still last a while though but they will probably give up after a while, then you have an excuse to get a 721 or similar 8) hubs arnt bad just the rims are very soft

Thanks for the heads up on the rims. I might hang on to my 729's that are on the stinky.

    Those things are supertough.
