Hi guys
Yep...have been bitten by the MTB bug and am riding 2/3 times a week. The refinery I work at, is south of Perth, right on the scarp so there are a mob of us who burn up there a couple of times a week.
Following the thursday ride, it is off the the Pinjarra pub for beers, skimpy's, meat tray raffles and hot italian sausage. Gee I love thursdays.......
I prefer fast cross country tracks and fast/techincal single trail riding. I have tried some of the downhill tracks about the place but not right into it yet.
Have only been in it about 8 months and have reached the limit of the current bike, a Giant Iguana as the derailiurs, brakes, bottom bracket and suspension are crap.
Currently looking at a Santa Cruz Blur or a Specialized FSR Expert as an all-rounder, as sick of being pounded to death on the hardtail.
Got to talk the cook into letting me spend so muchn on a Bike!!!

I can recommend the Trek fuel ex-7 as good all round cross country fun bike.
I have had mine since march. 4in travel front and rear.
A fair bit cheaper than a blur aswell

You should try riding this. After an hour your wrists really hurt. So do the hills when you only have one gear.
