Going crazy at the moment! Have 2 parcels in transit from the USA and they’re nearly here (another 24 hours).

    Sapim Spokes (coloured)
Sapim Nipples (colour coded of course)
Race Face ARC 30 HD rims

Once they land I’ll grab my new hubs and start building!

Have some custom decals for the wheels to bring the colour scheme together

    And a box of happiness!

    XT 12 Speed cassette
    XT shifter
    XT derailleur
    Magura rotors
    Magura race pads
    Michelin eWild tyres
    Cushcore pro kit

Booked a weekend in Melrose to test it all out on the new Epic Trail.

Met her at Victor Harbor last year, she did a show and told some tales.

    Very clever woman.

    It starts….

Taught myself to lace and true wheels.

Even buying the stand, I still came out ahead $$$ wise.

Fitted up with Industry9 Hydra hubs, new Magura Rotors and Pads, asymmetrical RaceFace rim and customised spoke colour accents It starts….

Threw on some Michelin eWild to try (usually run Maxxis DHF/DHR II) and fitted up with cushcore pro inserts.

New XT cassette, XT shifter and Derailleur and new chain for good measure!

Whilst up on the stand, fitted another volume spacer to the front fork to assist progression and pumped the fork back to 135psi

Then gave Mrs Tombies bike a wash and service before starting on the Sons newly acquired eSix S also.

It’s destined to have Purple accents to its Black paint; pics will follow once the parts arrive.

    Hi Tombie,

They will be a very nice wheel set.

I don't get to build many, but wheel building is a part of my job that I really enjoy.

Have your ridden the new Melrose Epic Rrail yet?

    Tony

Not yet, several of my friends have. Said it’s hard work but very rewarding.

    I’m looking forward to it.
