4WD Work and Play trailer **lots of pics**

Well over the last few months my father and I have been rebuilding our 4WD trailer. To cut the history of the trailer short it was made for us by a mob in Vic, its a standard 6x4 trailer that has an extended draw bar and alko suspension. The trailer is braked and we also changed the hubs over to defender hubs so that it could use the same wheels as the fender. [Easier for spares when away].

We had to strip the trailer completely, rust treat it and respray it [due to its years of no use, plus sitting out in the weather]. Since then we had a new top made for it, the put a 1400x800x600 [rough dimensions] tool box on the front, it runs a 120ah battery in the toolbox and then runs a fused power line into the trailer running the fridge, a 12v cigarette socket and lights. The fridge / esky area has a rubber floor, whilst the luggage area has been completely carpeted. As you can see in the pictures the top only has a shelf on one side, this was so that we could use the Dual Zone top on the engel which as you can see has ample room to get stuff in and out. The esky is a 100Ltr one, and the engel is 40ltr plus the dual zone area which gives plenty of room to keep stuff cool. Only thing left is to put the spare wheel up the front on the draw bar [in front of the tool box] and then to get a roof rack made up for it so that we can carry swags, tents, table, etc on the top.

The work aspect of the trailer is that my father also runs a tour company, so the trailer is being sign written, however I wont plug the business here as we're not a "vendor". I guess that's mostly it, if anyone has any questions on who did the top, tool box, trailer, esky etc ill be more than happy to give the info out.

We're just in Eltham so I'm sure we can arrange something once the trailers finished and out of the garage =)
