    Here we go...................
    Trailer bed

added 6mm plate for pivot point on draw bar

setting up 8mm plates in bed to line up with the draw bar

    draw bar attached

draw bar spaced 3mm off bed

close up of pivot point...there is a radius on the end of the draw bar pivot point

    squaring off axles off

16mm nut for the eye bolts welded 6mm plate in the four corners of bed

locking pin on top of draw bar connected to front of bed

trailer rolled over on it wheels

    sides being welded

tyres to close to spring hangers...going to change the offset of the rims and put the axles on top of the springs....ooopppps....NOTE make sure you have clearance between the tyres and spring hanger...trailer is over 600mm to top off bed...this problem could be alleviated by ordering the axles longer

    All going well it seems!

Outside the overall weight issue, the main comment I would make is that I wouldn't have welded on the suspension set before I worked out the balance point of the completed deck, any sides, ramps stowed, spare wheel/s and any toolboxes fitted.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The trailer is multi purpose so we can the balance the weight with the vehicle/load the fold down tailgate will balance the draw bar...axels are in the centre of the bed

    Looks great.

Someone has access to a nice big workshop :-)

You don't need that much head on the bolt anyway.

I have some axles sitting waiting for someone to get their act together and get the welder out. I also want a multi purpose tipping trailer big enough (weight rating) to recover a 4x4 legally.

Love these project threads, ideas and inspiration.
