Home made scrubbies/sliders/side steps stage 1

$35ish in pipe (bought 13mts of 50mmx3mm pipe for $47, and only used about 7 mts)
    $15 for 75x40mm recruangular tubing (bought 4mts, used 2mts)
$30 for 2 joiner deallies to attach tubing to front bar

Mate just bought a cheap pneumatic bender for about $230 and has a welder
I'm barely a lackies lacky, so did plenty of watching and agreeing

    Love ya work, Stoo

    Made up a few templates

    got bending

Mounted to chassis outriggers, easy! The front mount can't be seen in the pics.

One side done....soon to be powdercoated and steel chequerplate added to step

    Looking good so far!!
First thought you'd made a mistake saying about the "pneumatic" bender, then realised it IS one. Lots easier than pumping it by hand.

I like the look of it around the step area, the bend looks nice compared to the RHS or SHS tube which ends up with sharper corners.

What sort of weight are you getting built at?

I haven't weighed it yet. It's no weight weenie, but not too bad. I am aiming at strength mainly. The 3rd mount point is to the brace near front radius arm. It isn't designed as a jacking point, but I have no doubt that it would be strong enough to do so

Looks good. But why not remove the sill panels and raise the sliders up??? That's what I did.
