    D44 Front Diff Cover

I have been meaning to fit a front diff cover for yonks

Unfortunately I went down the West Coast without one

I didn't think the crownwheel was touching but on closer inspection it was

So out with the front diff housing

Splashed out and bought one of these

D44 heavy duty diff pan for Rover axles - Black

Cut the front diff pan off and kindly asked the boilermaker at work to weld the flange in for me

Refitted front housing, filled with oil and Bobs your uncle

I do like very much how the bolt holes are recessed into the housing!! Looks tuff as nails

Wow looks good, does it add much to the base of the housing? looks like teh front ribs are the lowest part of the whole housing.
