Thread: BONDX2 - Series 3 Stage 1 V8 build

My last project was a silver 86 RR Classic with 3.5V8 35's, 2 inch lift and 2 inch body lift. Given the name BOND due to the last three digits of the N/P was 007.

This is just a new rover project hence given the name BONDX2

I'l post the follow up as I go from now but these are the specs so far.

1. Like I said before 1980 Series 3 Stage 1 V8
2. Gone are the leaf springs and in with front and rear coils.
3. Front diff is GQ 4.1's using GQ radius arms. Rear diff is 80 series cruiser items with toughened axles.
4. Front and rear ARB air lockers.
5. Dodge NP435 4 speed gear box.
6. Behind a Chrysler 360CI, 5.9L engine. Dyno'd to 435HP at flywheel.
& a massive clutch and bell housing from a Dodge D600.
7. LT230R Transfer.

heaps of other little bits and bobs but i'l post them as it goes together.

My aim. ready by end o June for annual 4x4 trip.

Chasing a defender or county dash as my one is absolutely rotted out. cluster is fine but i prefer the look of the later one anyway.

Sounds like its going to be a bit of a beast.
