Noice...
Can't wait to see the pics of it fitted up...![]()
I bought a couple of Narva Taurus Bull lights and thought of how I was going to fit them without a steel bullbar. Resigned to the fact that those aluminium driving light brackets wouldn't cut the chase with heavy full size lights on rough roads and they are basically just a piece of Alloy angle, that attached behind the number plate.
So I came up with these more solid alternatives. Made out of 2 x 4 box steel with a side contour to blend in the lines of the bumper. The number plate will cover the bolt fixing holes on the front. And I think it will look Neat.
High tensile bolts as that was what I had on Hand.
Will post pics when fitted on Disco.
but here are some previews.

Works for me...
So, whats it going to be???
Prices or measurements....
Even a couple of piccies of the back of it would be good, if your not going to sell them, that is...![]()
Pic of back I didn't take and I can't get more than feeling access with my fingers from underneath, through the mesh grill under the apron.
The rear is boring, it only has 4 bolt holes , I fed the bolts from the back, the front holes allow a socket and a nylock to tighten and install. There are 6 holes at the front, 2 are mistakes, The number plate will cover them anyway so not worried.
The Narva Taurus have a H/Duty pole to fit hold the lamps, these have a approx 27 mm nut and spring washer to tighten so you need a big hole underneath to get a socket up to them. The Taurus lights also wire from inside, through a grommet.
The wiring then feeds down the inside of the retaining pole and out the bottom to inside the bar, so there is no chance of some hood ripping your wires out as they are hidden from view. I will drill and tape the light to the fixinf pole to stop some light finger knocking them off.
No prices, It took me long enough to work the stick welder, then the grinding and the bogging. To make them I would run at a loss. As for measurements it will depend on what you have on the front. I have one of those silly rubber bars, so made it to fit and just used what steel I had lying around a bit of 4" x 2" steel.
cheers Mario
Heather said to me "Why such big Lights?"
I replied " 'cause I can't see at night"
