    Great tutorial.
    Just a couple of tweeks I found helpful on a D2 TD5.

    If you can borrow an engine crane it is far superior to a set of blocks. It lifts the engine squarely and no chance of cracking the sump or the engine suddenly falling on your hand. You also should take off the fan shroud .

    With a D2 for some reason the mounting nuts are uppermost. I can see no reason for this as it is much easier to start and do up nuts from below, as the engine mount bracket gets in the way of a spanner swing on top.
