Discovery 2a Custom Rear Door Card

Thanks mate but i am happy with doing it this way, you dont have to be a member of the forum to view images this way.
So a little more progress, finally got my hands on the sheet and got it all cut out. The main rear panel is done just needs to be cleaned up and powder coated. The slide shelf has had its hinge added for test fitting. Tomorrow i should be able to get it all knocked together in a test fit.

Progress has slowed as lack of free time with work. Just a few little things to finish now tho.
I used some door seal rubber to stop any noise in the bench while folded up, also some ute tie down fixings to keep it closed.
Next jobs on the list.
1. Replace the 400lb mono single strut with some nylon coated stainless wire.
2. work out a locking system to keep the slide out when facing up hill,
may replace the slides with locking ones. Had the slides sitting around home so used them for now.

So in the mean time i got to work inserting the M6 rivnuts (14 in total). I cant get over how handy they are to use. Didn't worry about the tool just used a bolt, nut and washer.

Great job. Which type of M6 rivnuts did you use eg s/s, alloy etc and smooth, knurled or? I'm about to re-seat my checkerplate version and replace the marginal at best original style plastic pushins.
