Just a tip: It'll probably last longer if the rust converted sections were primed and painted before fitting the window again. Rust converted bare metal will eventually re rust. I have seen it many times

Did the alpine window fix today and compiled a vid on it. Luckily for me the rust wasnt too bad, so now I no longer need to worry.

The rust stuff I used was paint also, just didnt mention it on the video. I used the same paint on my workshop trailer and works a treatAlso being a finiky bugger, I will no doubt remove the alpines again next summer to check to make sure theres no further damage.
