    Brush Bars

I was never happy with what I had to do cosmetically to comply with engineering and it was a stop gap measure. I had to extend the lower bumper to match the track and screw some rubber to extend the guards. Since changing rims and tyres back to the specs of when it was engineered I needed to do something. The answer partially exists with the construction of some brush bars. The engineering paper state a bumper extension. this also covers the tread of the tyres which was an obvious stipulation.

Bending some Gal pipe gave me the larger bend behind the wheel arch. The smaller bends were achieved with mandrel bends cut to the required angle. I was keen to pick up the existing rock sliders.
Method to gain exact angle was to tac the weld, evaluate fit, weld out and grind back with a flapper disc then finish blending with a file prior to painting. The new work joins to the existing ARB front bar with brackets purchased from ARB.

    Looks good Brendan

I take it you sorted your water pump issues out on the beast.

    Hi Lou
Must have been a while since we have spoken. The heating problems seem a distant issue now and while water pump related were more dealer service lack of quality workmanship. Needless to say the vehicle no longer is worked on there especially given their willingness to acknowledge short comings backed by a lack of movement in repairing work.

I've always wanted to do exactly that bar work and maybe the rest of your truck ... It looks so tough .. Would it be worth running a small gusset on the inner bends around the flares on the scrub bars so they Can't get bent out of shape if you hit a bank or a roo .

    In conclusion awesome truck
