You have done a great job, my only comment is the K&N pod filter, I had one on my BA GT, the sound was great but the crap that gets past the filter into the engine is not, read the test reports on this forum re: the K&N filter failure to filter damaging dust.
BTW if you ever get pulled over by the NSW cops and they look under the bonnet they will defect your vehicle for having a non-standard part (filter), I had my K&N pod filter hidden inside the original air box, Regards Frank
Cheers Frank. This exact filter came off my custom BA V8 intake I made years ago but I kept the filter in case I needed it someday.
Re the cops. I was one here in NSW so I'm good unless I'm stupid and draw attention to myself ;)
I'll have a gander regarding the filter's performance, you have got me interested now.
I have some pics (hiding in a safe place) of my BA GT engine upper manifolds when the engine was replaced at 15,000klms because of rings failing to bed in (not caused by K&N filter, oil problem was from day one), the dirt and grit was scary (car was never driven on a dirt road), lucky the Ford engineers at Broadmeadows never got to see it, as engine was replaced under warranty and old engine block was crushed because original number was transferred to new block, have a look in "the Good Oil" in this Forum or type in K&N filters, Regards Frank.Quote:

I thought I's update this thread with some old progress.
I had this recurring fault with the EAS which was "too much pressure or pressure sensor fail". Always results in a hard fault. I did a bit of googling around and found that a bloke in pommyland had similar issues with his EAS. This lead me to the driver pack that bolts next to the compressor.

Also, I fitted in the double DIN stereo which I mount my phone onto. I then use my phone for navigation, stereo control, apps such as Pandora and OBD2.
I had to reconstruct the centre dash part as the last effort melted in the summer heat. I've got it all sorted out now.

Also I should add that I've bought a pair of Lukey mufflers and will be starting to fab up a twin 2.25 exhaust here at home. More on that soon :)

Yeah it's like a silicone type compound that is easy to slice but you have to be careful cutting and digging into it. Since replacing the capacitor, I haven't had an EAS failure yet! I've been chasing my tail with the EAS error that I had. It kept telling me that it was overpressure but I tested the pressure sensor with my multimeter and all was OK. Just one of those crazy LR things I guess.
