Picked up the front bar tonight
It looks a bit too big in the photos, but it's just the angle.
Also someone sent me these pics from back in the days of the old 2 door
Ahh nostalgia

The bull bar was an arb, until I clipped a tree at Bindaree and bent it a tad.
So chopped off the uprights and got some 50 cds bent up. It's in its third incarnation on the ute now.
But in all seriousness it had a few bends in the chassis, I mistakenly let the reg run out, and it was just too hard to get an old broken half race car issued with a rwc, so I kept the drive train and sold off most of the rest.

I was just thinking tonight of the hundreds of hours I put into that car making custom stuff from scratch, sometimes version 4.
Like the tabs I made on the front hoop of the current build, to pick up the horizontal ute sides.
Have I overdone it, make up some box section that telescopes inside the sides, cut them from 3 mm flat weld them into a rectangle, box off the end, file and linish them so there a nice tight fit, cut a radius to suit the 75mm tube, install a crush tube.
Or should I just weld on the sides?
