But in all seriousness it had a few bends in the chassis, I mistakenly let the reg run out, and it was just too hard to get an old broken half race car issued with a rwc, so I kept the drive train and sold off most of the rest.
    Thanks Fitzy,

Mine looks so similar but it ain't related. Re reg these days................

    cheers, DL

I made some circles out of some roof material to mount the rear lights

Also sikaflexed and riveted the storage box outer skin back on

There was a bit of rust to deal with.

The design of the 110/Defender rear crossmember is pretty ordinary.

It's another one of those things where I have to stop myself from doing to much and opening those cans with the wiggly things in them.
I was looking at building a new one but a patch will have to do for now.
It's the only rust in a 32 year old chassis, and was caused by build up of mud and not being washed out .

    V8 county ute

I've clocked the tie down rails to cover the tyres.
It's legally compliant, keeps the tray width nice and narrow and won't let the rear tyre grab on a tree when in really tight stuff

Love the design of your tie down rails - super smart - out of the way and mini slider/wheel arch all in one. Nice work!

Need to do the same out our rangie ute tray
