The first side of the truck I followed the instructions that come with the windows.
This took me 5.5 hours from start to finish & inflicted a number of blisters to my hands, it also required a helper for most of the removal & install.
For the other window I made a 90deg tool for the Multi-tool but after testing it I found that it was cutting into the body & I was not happy with that type of damage to my truck.
Test was completed on a donor body.
The next approach was to use a broad paint scrapper with a bricklayers small tool, once I cut the polyurethane down to the window frame I could force it between the body & the window frame.
Once I got to that stage I could use the short edge of the small tool like a chisel working from the outer edge of the frame into its base. Working in 70mm sections then moving the paint scrapper, at the same time I also used a toothbrush as a wedge to force the body away from the frame to assist the cutting process.
This was a much easier way to cut through the seal & allow the frame to be removed.
Doing it this way reduced the the removal & install time from 5.5hours to 3hours & a lot less hand pain & more smile time.
Also I removed the frame on my own, I only needed help installing the Gullwing windows.
TIPS:
Use more paper tape than you believe you need other wise you will damage your paint work.
Take your time which ever way you choose.
I used 2 beads of polyurethane on the new windows rather that the 1 as per instructions.
