    I love getting packages.

This little evaporative cooler just arrived.
It will be used on those hot camp nights in the roof top tent.
Tank full of water runs for about 6 hours and the unit draws only 10W.
All the controls can be adjusted via your phone or the touch pad on top.

This is going to be awesome in a QLD summer.

    Cheers

Interested to see how this goes, I'm in Cairns and most places up here are too humid for evaporative.
Please give your thoughts one you've had a chance to use it.

    Hi Boof Ed,

As soon as we have tested it, end of the month on Moreton Island ill post some feed back on it.
Last night we used it in the bedroom, very impressed with how much it cooled the room down.

    Cheers
    Dave

The insulation is fitted to the roof section as is the black carpet.
I have also cut & fitted the alloy extrusion that the LED strip lighting will go into.

Very happy with how its coming along.

Canvas man gets it on Friday.

    Cheers

    Exciting day today.

The 2 halves come together permanently for the first time.
Very happy at this time. Underside of the roof looks great with the carpet & LED track in. Once it comes back from canvas i can fit the control touch panel & lights.
I was a little concerned that the struts would be to strong to open & close the lid, i got my wife to have the honour of first open & closing, she did it easy.

    Canvas here we come.

    Cheers

    Hi Don 130,

The whole RTT is made from alloy sheet.
The folded base insert section is 1.6mm the rest is 2mm. The rack section (no images yet) is from 3mm.
This just adds stiffness to the roof to allow to walk on or load up to 30Kg's on it. One must consider total loading to roof of truck.

    Cheers
    Dave

Thanks Dave, the floor in picture 5 above, looks like it's decked in some way. Can you describe what you've done there?

    Don 130,

The floor is folded very much like Trimdeck roofing iron. The hollows are 25mm deep.
In image 5 you are seeing the insulation filling the hollows.
When the roof comes back from the canvas man i will fit black carpet over the whole floor area.

I hope that explains the floor section.

    Cheers
    Dave
