    LandyAndys D2 drawer system

    Hi Guys
Ive been collecting bits and pieces to build a rear drawer/storage system.
I made a start this morning cutting up steel for the frame.
The idea is 2 drawers under my Engel, storage areas behind, above and at the sides,a gell cell type battery to run the fridge and the cargo barrier fixed to the storage unit.
Will ad pics as I go along.
    Todays effort.

    Hey Graz
make sure you get a good look at my Engel slide before you start making one, easy to copy to suit your CaneToad project.Uses sealed bearings for runners.
I got it for $383 inc delivery from Engeland in Balcatta.
Much heavier duty than the Waeco and the other one I saw at BCF.
I decided to spend the extra and get something gauranteed to work.I have ball bearing runners for the drawers.

Been down the shed,I have tacked the main frame together.

The fridge slide fits perfectly,I need to reinforce the flat bar close to where the welding clamp is.Should have used angle but I didnt want to loose clearance for the lower drawers.

I fixed the saging flat bar by welding a piece of 12mm flat across the front, thus creating an angle iron.
All welds done and ground where needed.
Next step is to create the 2 drawers.
How do you fix carpet to plywood??? Contact adhesive??? Ideas please.

I have always just used Contact adhesive applied with a spatula. Tried spray contact but it was useless. Built 2 drawer systems this way. works well.
