    First post

A little more time than it really should, but the 120" is so handy, I'm scared to pull it down anyway

Its full of fence posts and fenceing gear at the moment and I got 40ton of class 2 blue metal coming tomorrow for my drive, to start getting ready for asphalt, so its gonna be a while yet, oh and my rangie as a big list of love it needs first to.............and I bought 2 more rangies to strip today

Well this project may of taken a turn, for better or worse, you decision

Anyhow, I don't use the 120" except for ute duties, so it may aswell stay together, anyhow, I'm thinking I'll make a toy out of this one

So, I'm thinking along the lines of Big Block, 11:5 comp, and I'm still tossing up whether I use an LT95 and build a sals and tough rover front, or just use the GQ running gear in A GQ that just happens to be hanging around here

Will get back into it, probably sept but, got my drive to finish before August, along with a heap of stuff here, then doing the Simpson in late august, riding with the old man in his Tojo, Birdsville races should be good!

Maybe you should get the rest of a GQ to go with the running gear you have and fit the big block to that.

Leave the poor old 120" alone........he's quite happy as he is.

Don't worry Murray, the 120" stays as is, its the 110" chassis and cab in the shed that get's the non purist treatment

Well, thought I'd dust off an old project

Think it'll just turn into the 120" resto, nothing extreme, big silly toys are just gonna get my in the poo

Anyone know where a single cab roof is?

    Properly bolted together

Inside, ahh, what a difference 4" makes

Couple little bottle jacks to get the heights right

    Inside the 120"

Yup, will give the chassis the spruce up and another tray, probably do the swap when I'm back home to look after the folks joint for a couple months July/august

Deliberating whether to use it to replace my Rangie but I'll put it together first, see how long travelling goes comfort wise!

All you've gotta do now is widen it by 4" so the right arm fits in the cab
I would like to do the same to mine one day but I know I'll never get around to it
What model rangie is the wheel boss off anyway? Had a look in auto barn today and they seem to list four types for the classics

Yea, I know, I'm 6'3", so its still cosy and with the seat spaced up and back, I fit.....aside from not being able to stick my elbow out the window

I really want to use this as a tourer, but will get the cab done, stick it on the 120" after chassis repairs etc and see how it goes, if its comfy enough, it'll become the one, if not, the rangie gets a massive birthday

The boss is off an early indicator stalk rangie, just one I had lying around

Roof beginning to take shape, I opted to use the roof I had, being a tightass and all, actually going to look better than I hoped

Off to go get some sikalfex and ali pop rovets and lunch, then back to it
