    Digging up the dead
Since the new Toyata's are crap
This ol thing has run like a clock. Very slowly

I have just acquired a complete turbo set up off a 2H powered 75 series with a spare turbo! I know they tend to run hot if pushed hard I'll try it and see what happens Should be OK here, as only have to hit it hard for a few minutes

I'm steering well clear of Turbo-ing my 2H. I've heard good and bad things in equal proportion, not enough majority to make up my mind.

Besides, turbo IDIs sound pants. Rather build a stump pulling 20PSI 12H-T

The 12HT .....overhead valve/turboed/direct injection With a stump pulling 360odd mn of torque in stock form by memory . Like the Isuzu, its how they deliver the power.
    They're a great ol donk.

Couldn't find a good one for this project and would cost well over 6k to rebuild the dead one I have here so is 2H for now. Far cry from the ol 3.6 H motor, even NA.

The 2H do OK turboed, just dont push it hard for to long. I've seen them last for over 400k when turbed if looked after. Also seen many BBQed with abuse
I'm going to give it a run... Have a spare phyro etc.

Maybe a rusty 60 will come up soon with a good 12HT

Hmm, you could persuade me. The kits are pretty cheap, too. (Well cheap c/w 300Tdi VGT kits etc). What do you plan on doing about boost compensation?

Heaps of good second hand kits around. The one I have is off a 2H 75. Has a spare turbo too. I'm doing nothing on boost compensation. Will smoke a little when off boost.
Not going to boost or fuel her up much as wont last. About 6psi and 420deg will do with a 3" dump pipe etc. Go heaps better than stock and last. If you push them beyond this for long they pop
Will do fine in my old 45 with 750/16 rag tyres
