A few on here are still wondering if he is still living! Went awol in may last year, never to be heard from again. Although we did get an email from the young lady that was travelling with mike, she was back in new york, but never got a reply from her.
I was wondering the same thing :-)
Given his participation while he was here something must have gone wrong for him to be so quiet once he left. One too many Irish jokes or his VNT Turbo must have blown up his diesel for him to be so upset.

Wow have just found this and such a great complete build so much detail would love to see mike return and it finished and wish him best of luck on whatever his journey brings.
But it has given me many great ideas for my vehicle even if it is a disco and not a defender no reason I cant do something very similiar with it now if only I had the space to do the work.
Im back in Ireland and have kept an ear to the ground as to his whereabouts and have heard nothing.

10/7/ 2014 "Grew up most of my life on a farm (livestock) in Galway, have worked on some of the big cattle stations in Australia. Back on the family farm again after 8 years overseas, and realistically the person taking it over in the future will more than likely be me. Yep, that's what he told me as well, not that I don't believe him, he just disappeared, never to be heard of again, that's what really ****ed me off considering how we helped him. Such a shame
