5 locos
As a reformed train fanatic as a kiddie, I had never really heard of more than 4 locos ganged up on the front of a train. Out training today (maybe last Thursday???) a train came through Orange NSW that had 5 locomotives. Is this unusual? It was hauling Manildra carriages and I never saw the other end of it. It looked like 3x 81 class, a DL something with a bonnet end and then another 81.
Cheers
Slunnie

They may not have all been powering. Sometimes they'll do a "balance" with some of the locos dead-attached (along for the ride) to return them to their home depot.
