    I did some (very) rough calculating to come up with a combined horse power figure. I counted as best I could 205 locos in the picture,and assuming they have 2500hp came up with 512,500 or over half a million horse power. Gee,I must be bored

    It didn't mention the collection of VR Hitachi suburban trains at Molong, NSW, owned by John Horne. He apparently had onsold over 100 of them to museum groups and those wanting office/accomodation/storage that was a little bit different.
    Purchased from a short-sighted VR when out of service for a reported $2600 each, the move was a pretty wise investment as VR had need to purchase back three, three car sets from him for spare parts, for somewhere around $60,000 :P
