Already available from several sources for D2 and RR P38
Firstly this is not a for sale thread, i dont have any........yet.
I have committed to building some emergency inflation kits for air suspension rangies and i would like some input from others who either have some already, or want some.
So far i will be doing 3 different types
Type 1 basic emergency only : consisting of 4 individual valves which you can only plug into your line when the system dies. I hope to have this selling for around $40.
Type 2 fixed. Consisting of a permenantly mounted CNC alloy manifold, with 5 valves (one for each corner and 1 for the air tank) . Hose blanks will also be supplied, to isolate the valve block when needed. Hopefully price will be around $80.
Type 3, same as type 2, but with a gauge in the tank line, so you can monitor the preassure of the system to see when something is about to happen (and also help diagnose a fault after it has happened). About $10 more than type 2.
My questions.
Do you think there will be any demand for type 2 when type 3 is only $10 more?
I hear some people mount the kits up the front, near the air cleaner. Why is this prefered, and would you be prepared to pay extra for this (for the extra fittings, brackets and hoses)?
I was also going to make a kit for D2s with rear airbags. Would it also be feasable to also do somthing for a D3 or L322? or aren't they up to that yet (i have heard stories of early d3s dropping to their bumpstops, and L322 compressors failing).

and I also have an install kit that lets you monitor the tank pressure, use the pressure in the tank and fill the tank from an external source in the event of a compressor failure.
the fill points a schreader valve that goes in the fuel filler area, the take offs a QD fitting that lives on the support bracket for the cruise con actuator on the v8's with a gauge plumbed in parallel.
the biggest problems your going to face for kit 1 is this....
1. the people who will know how to and be brave enough to use it will already know where to purchase push fit- shreader valve connections to do what your aiming at so wont buy it.
2. the people who dont know how to use it wont buy it as installing and using it will be too daunting for them so they wont buy it.

Thanks Blknight, I see what you are saying. I had alot of trouble locating schrader valves with BSP fittings, and when i did find some, i ordered several hundred aswell as a company discount. All up the kit 1 will be sold for not very much more than the retail price of the individual components (and well under half the price of all the other ones i have seen).
