Thread: Custom Hawse Fairead to suit PTO winch?

PTO winch owners

i have source a manufacturer that is willing to make a custom fairlead to suit my PTO drum. as you all know our drums are wider than a standard electric drum therefore nothing is available off the shelf

these will be made out of billet, machined, polished and suitable for plasma rope.

is there anything else i need to consider in the design (i am just copying the features of standard hawse fairlead)?

this is a good chance to get rid of those awful rollers or in my case a lump of cast iron and reduce some weight by getting rid of the steel wire

when design is completed i will know what i am up for
