You'd never see this coming right

I dont' understand why anyone would drive on something that has a "crust" you can break through ..... 'cos if you break through, it's one of those times recovery will be almost impossilbe without lots of help.

It'll be interesting to find out how they get it out. It sounds like there will be dozens of people heading out there to help from the local facebook group. I bet none of them will drive on the surface and risk breaking through though!

I suspect the photo gives you two hints.....

    1. If I am not mistaken that is a Jeep...

    2. The green plate in the lower right of the windscreen..

Many of us were very dumb and thought we were invincible when younger.

    True...

But some are obviously hosting more Kangaroos loose in the top paddock...

The fact some made it to an older age proved we were.

Mind you, the older I am getting, the less invincible I am becomming.

I thought that was an almost impossible recovery.... Just goes to show I've never owned and used the right equipment.

Someone turned up in an old cruiser that had a grunty winch. I figured a winch would be useless 'cos you'd need something to anchor the winch vehicle too so it doesn't slide. They posted a piccie of it. They simply dug the front wheels of the cruiser into the ground and piled the dirt from the holes infront of the front wheels..... and heaved the jeep straight out (I wonder if I'd ever though of that).

We have tidal clay pans here that the foolish like to play on...

I've spent hours assisting recoveries, but will never take my vehicles out there...
