I'm guessing a 4bd1? What gear? Wonder if a snatch strap in line would be useful or more of an issue. Useful recovery tip, fired up in about 1 metre, thanks for the vision.
Mucking about, I tried tow starting my 1984 stage 1 4bd1. Got some compression of cylinder air but no firing, momentary spin of the wheels, then jolted the tow vehicle to a holt.

1st high, the trailing lead controls the start run solenoid .Interesting regards snatch strap .If you try it by using the clutch to get it rolling seems to work better .I only have a 32000 lb kinetic rope. but will try it
