    One-piece winch solenoids

I've got a Warn XD9000 winch on the front of the 130, using it to steer a tree branch away from the house last week the winch was in a work-sometimes condition. It's got the original 4-solenoid pack which I'm thinking I might replace with a 1-piece setup, such as this one Runva 12V Winch Solenoid - 600A which is about the same price as one of the four original solenoids. Question: do these suffer the same contact degradation as the single solenoids and are they universally interchangeable?

They are interchangeable- and I’ve had lots of use out of them without issue

I replaced the original solenoid pack in my old Warn M8000 winch with a 500a contactor into the original warn controller box, added a wireless controller at the same time.

I did this with a Tigerz11 solinoid. These are all copies of the renowned Albright solinoid. The Runva from what I hear is pretty reliable, but the pros use Albright.

If you're doing this conversion, it is also really easy to add a remote control sensor to it.

In a conversion to this, you will also lose Warns anti-hot wiring circuit from the controller.

Here are some pics of my conversion

And the way I wired it up.

2 types, one is basically a potted set of HD relays, the other is big transistors...

One handles big heavy winching really well and costs a bit, the other is cheap and melts when you over work it but outlasts the other if you leave it sitting around not doing much

    Check which one you order....
One you can hack apart with a good knife chisel and a hammer and make work just one more time.

    the other not so much.
