DC100 or 70 series Landcruiser? I know which one I would choose. 4.5L diesel V8, factory diff locks, what's not to love (except the price)? Land Rover have dropped the ball.

Mind you the article was basically says the DC100 is being developed into new entry level LR, not a Defender Replacement. Speculation/rumour is that it will be priced below the Freelander so comparisons with the 70 Series are misplaced. LR haven't released any images of what the next Defender will look like, but have said it won't look like the DC100. The rumour milll is tipping we'll get a look at the new Defender on the 65th Anniversary for the launch of the first Land Rover - 30 April 2013.

Hmmm, tough choice, need a rugged 4x4 wagon, dont want a Landcruiser, Nissan is out of the picture, Landrover no longer rugged, where do you go ???
