Despite this being an english slanted list I've owned two cars named on it, and I currently own the predecessor to two cars named.

English slanted? There are eight, but if you take out the clearly non English Phantom, Continental and Mini, which are all German, That leaves two Range Rovers, the new Defender and two Fords which are almost just one, really. Far, far more German cars on this list. American and Japanese too.

However, any list of "influential" cars that includes the Cadillac Escalade ( A Suburban in drag ), the Chery whatever, any Nissan other than the GTR, and the BMW X6, and does not include the original Defender ( or Series for that matter ), The E Type Jaguar, and the Lancia Delts Integrale is not worth the webspace it wastes.

The "last thirty years" would exclude both the Defender and Series Landrovers - 1983 and 1948. (This pushes the term "Defender" back to cover the 90/110, as the 1989 change was simply a name change.)

I apologise. What I meant was there were cars in the list that were never sold here. So it was focussed around what they had i the uk which you'd expect for an english publication.

Guess that's it for the E-Type as well. However, if you apply the rules like that then the Mustang, 1964; the F-150, 1948; Ford Crown Vic, 1992; Kia Sportage, 1993; BMW 3 Series, 1975; Mazda MX-5, 1989; Toyota Rav-4, 1994; VW Jetta, 1979; and I would argue the same for the Skoda Octavia, which is really just a badge engineered VW Passat, 1973.

    But who's counting?

Fair enough. I guess that's another reason the Landcruiser misses out.
