All Defenders seem to fare badly if they roll, old or new. I have seen a few shots where the roof is down to the height of the steering wheel, almost completely flat. The window/roof struts are not substantial enough. Good reason to put in a roll bar or a Milford cage or even a full roll cage.

No room thugh - if I fitted a roll cage Iwould forever bump my head on the side rails when 4wd'ing and probably when getting in and out as well !

Anyone got a roll cage set up on a twin cab ?

Was this actually a Land Rover? I can't bring up any news sites at work but I saw the car on the TV this morning & it looked like a late 60 series Land Cruiser. The TV reported called it a Land Rover though.

common problem .... anyything with a boxy shape and remotely tough looking is called a 'Land Rover" by some reporters. Just like any vacuum cleaner is called a "Hoover".

Funny you should say that. A lot of the new Defenders we receive here are Jeeps according to the transport documents.

Actually round here most people seem to think they are made by Toyota and are another model of Landcruiser!
