Thread: Lights behind the Grille

Why does one get offended by a minor change in ancillaries that is 100% reversible
I think your choice in lighting is sensible and can be changed back to the candle lights.
At least at a distance or to the untrained eye it will look right. rather than hanging driving lights on it etc.
    Just don't lose the originals.

I leave the children to play nicely and look what's happening.

Play the issue not the man.

    Me Personally

If someone wants to be pragmatic and make a vehicle they own, usable and enjoyable and that modification can be undone with a spanner or screwdriver, then I have absolutely no problem with it. With possibly the partial exception in the case of a vehicle of particular significance, however if the original parts are retained and the modification can be undone without any additional holes being present, then my original opinion stands.

What I consider butchering, is when someone drills out the spot welded Butler headlamp brackets on a good grill just so they can pop rivet them onto another vehicle. That and when someone removes all the tags from a vehicle they don't own so that they can fit them to a vehicle that never had them.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

i hear where you are coming from groucho, and i think a wise choice.i know that i wont be able to put or use alot of the original parts as some of it is just to expensive for a school kid with out a job to do,who ever said it before hit the nail on the head "another one on the road"that is so true i know we would all like to have them 100% original but thats pretty hard alot of the time.not just to groucho but everyone else that is restoring specially a series one thanks and good luck with it
