    REAR BUSH FOR SPRING

    hi to all
    this is my first message
    im from israel
    i own a 1953 land rover series 1 80'
    now evryting is appart and im starting from zero
    i have a lot of small parts missing,and im looking in EBAY UK and other sits.
    can someone help me find the original plate with the shassi no?
    i have it,but all the print is gone,i can see only the stapt nomber
    on the internet all are selling plats for 88' and up.

    Hello Yuval,
    I like your Land-Rover and welcome to the forum.

    The chassis number should be stamped on the left-hand engine mount.

    You might like to vist this forum Land Rover Series One Club - Index as well, which deals only with Series Ones and has a lot of people on it who know a lot more than I do,

    Nice car! Welcome to the forum.
    If you join the Series One Club in the UK they can provide ID plates:

    "Chassis plates - available to members only - only supplied stamped.
    Paper copy of V5 must be forwarded (e-mail submission not acceptable).
    Vehicle Number stamped on plate at no extra charge." I am sure that you could explain the reason you need a replacement plate.

    Look in the CLUB SHOP area on their website - the one you need is probably the anodised aluminiun plate rather than the brass plate (depends on vehicle number) They have both - range from 7 pounds to 9 pounds.
