It appears to be all there.
G'day all. Had reason to take out the second row seats from my Defender, then had reason to take them "down the shed". The wider piece fits perfectly across the back of my '53, converting it from a 3-seater to a 5-seater. (Don't try this on the road......) Anyway had to share a few pics.
BTW the wunnie runs like a swiss watch, despite appearances.
Cheers, Rob S
Making a bit of use of my '53 of late. Gathering rocks to place around some fruit trees to stop the chooks scratching at the the roots, etc. Consider it as a motorised wheelbarrow. Anyway, while I had the camera out, I took the old girl up to this spot overlooking the Yarra Valley for a little photoshoot. Apologies to some of the pic's in James Taylor's book on restoring S1's. Note the absence of the standard grille and what I think is one of the listed Chaff Guards in the '52-'53 parts catalogue. It was fitted to the car when I bought it from a farmer in Trentham in 1978.
Cheers, Rob S
Took her out for a look around
That paint seems to look more and more patchy, its the result of an alteration with a Valiant in the late 60's[bigsad]
