1. Yes
2. I guess it could have been ordered from the factory with the pickup (ute) cab.
3. Just sold one in 'Markets' (mind you it's yet to be collected & fully paid for....).

Distinguished Colleagues,
A couple of questions....
1) Is there a solid cab that I could fit to my S1 that would turn it into a ute? i.e - the rear tub open?
2) I think the answer to this next one is no, but were there any 86 inch S1's fitted with such an item from factory? I've seen them on 80 inch S1's.
3) Anyone got one that they might be willing to part with, or that I could at least take a look at?

Home made cabs for Series 1s were quite common, being much cheaper and easier than buying a new canvas when the original was past its use by date, particularly for a vehicle that by then was often no longer in its first prime. These cabs varied from very rough to better than the factory ones. Most commonly made from galvanised iron riveted or even tied with wire to the hoops, but some were made from sheet aluminium or more commonly plywood on a wooden frame, and copied the appearance of the factory ones.

Normally included a heater, internal light, lined doors, locks on doors, roof lining, sometimes a second wiper, metal door check traps, lined firewall, footwell and tunnel and rubber mats. But fitment varied.
