Quite right regarding reasons for premiums etc - There are ways and means of course, I tend to make friends with folks who live under 15 km from my house and I only seem to go around to their homes after I have adjusted the brakes or such! :D

Mines on full rego and insured with RACV for just over $100 for a value of $3,500
It's really a limited use policy or for a vehicle on a club permit, I was told that I'm only covered for a couple of trips per week and it's not to be used to go to the shops etc.

It doesn't get used that often so I will eventually put it on a club permit, especially if they go to the 90day scheme which has been discussed and, rumour has it, accepted by VicRoads.

Must be age related. I have 4 vehicles with shannons, but only have salvage rights with the oldest (1968).

My 'zara' is with Shannons I have automatic salvage rights because I paid the $5.00 more on the premium of $300.00...all vehicles over 35 years you have first right to them I have 3 years to go so I paid the extra...she is my daily driver so naturally on full rego
