The Sheraton model AR Lathe..made in Melbourne . A copy of the ubiquitous USA Southbend model A designed in the 1930's . The Sheraton company made Lathes from the early 1950's to early 80's ?? This example uses tapered roller bearings in the headstock.... hence the "R" in the model code . Normally they have plain bronze bearings which are OK for most work .
