Yes please, particularly the police twos! Maybe mine will be amongst them

But they are not real land rovers,are they? They haven't got bull bars, 10" lift ,wide tyres ,winches ,snorkels and gear hanging off them all over.I think these pictures are faked!

We should have heaps ,but struggling to find them.I think taking pics & developing them was in the too hard basket in those days.

The S1 my brother now own's has been in the family since it left the factory in '56

Umm,did find one the other day,it's me,a few days old, on the way home from the hospital,in the front of the S1

Your about 30 years too young !

In those days the big ticket Landy Mods were a Canvas Water Bag hanging off the grille and for the real adventurers some rope wrapped around the bumper bar!.
nothing too impressive was ever required because in those days we walked to school.

Great lot of photos. Going by the rego numbers they would have to be taken in the mid 60s as I used to own a Morris Isis back in 64/65 and the Vic Rego on that was JBR 828. I notice the the latest plate on the rovers show one with 'a K' series plate meaning that it could not have been registered until around mid 65/66.

actually, that train was made by TATA, TATA now own land rover therefore (drawing a very long bow) its the same family!!
