I have the new 3mm perspex sheets cut and ready, but before I drill out the corner joins, I should ask if there is an alternative way to breaking the seam on the aluminium frame corner joints. Has anyone done this??
My plan was to drill out the pressed joint and re-fix after the new perspex is in place with s/s countersink rivets and file back to suit. I was also going to fix the perspex with sika as I would when glazing a fixed window.
Comments or suggestions welcome....

Don't use stainless steel on aluminium, it will corrode badly - use aluminium rivets.
I have just done my S3 windows and I used Septone windscreen sealant, which worked superbly and is non-hardening. The old sealant was easy to remove as well, after nearly 40 years of cooking in the sun. Make sure that whatever you use will: adhere to plastic and be easily removable,
