The clutch is a mechanical setup that operates through the side of the bellhousing. As a starting point get yourself a parts manual, reprints are available and it will be a great aid. A workshop manual is also useful, these seem to be around in soft ( scanned copy)

    that name is already taken!!

    as is:-
    "s.w.m.b.o"
    "THE GENERAL"
"The minister for war and finance" (hi dear )
    "The boss"

    and many others!

Mind you as LR WIDOW and THE GENERAL are user names it may be best if you use another name to avoid confusion!!

another way of convincing your lovely wife is by mentioning that whilst you are out 'tinkering' with the fantastic mechano set we call LAND ROVER (that was cursed by LORD LUCAS!) she'll have more time to watch those no car chase, no explosion, zero gory torture scene type movies without you bothering her!!

    oh ... and subtle reminder......

    *****AHEM.....PHOTOS?? *****
