The vehicle is indeed a MY52 CKD, sold on 4/9/52 to Winchcombe Carson Ltd, a publicly listed wool brokerage and agribusiness.
The engine number is a little unclear, but looks to be 26110236 (although it could be 26111236)

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
it is painted red and has some fire brigade writing on the doors just could not read it clearly but the owner thinks it is from penrith council i am abit suspicious of it being a firey or if it was it was bought later on by them and painted is there anywya of finding this out
Back in the 1960s bush fire brigades were very poorly funded, most survived with second hand WWII blitz trucks, jeeps and later Land Rovers which were purchased with money raised by the villagers through raffles and fetes etc.
Full council funding of new purpose built equipment is a very recent happening from the 1980s.
