Hi there all
Well after a busy few weeks putting up with some very unique people at work (protesters).
I have had a well deserved break and family time, and durring this time I managed to get my recently purchased fire engine (18 months ago) out of the shed.
Enjoy the pictures - it is in great original condition and do not want to restored but refurbishs.
Details:
1958 Series 1 LWB Fire Engine (Ex Woomera)
2lt engine – 4 speed gearbox
40,199 miles
Fitted with AMAG 250 g.p.m PTO driven fire pump (and small water tank)
Daughter & Father time - nice and green for a drive in our back yard (Flinders Rangers)

Hi there
I am missing some of the parts but the most important thing is the hose reel - the one pictured is not original but same from the same era, but I have been given the option to get one from the UK as an option (still considering).Looks great Wayne

The new pump rear panel has been fabricated but I have the orignal facial & gauges.
As you can see its just nice the way it is without over restoring - and drives like a dream........for 50 year old vehicle
Yes it is winter, ice on the grass most morning..........be nice to catch you again if your passing through - maybe a 65th in the Flinders (almost ready to be advertised)Your place looks a lot greener than when we were there

Wayne,
Ive spoken to a bloke who may be able to locate the other swb that went from that yard, he believes it may have gone towards Coober..
If he finds anything out I'll pass it on, that one thats left is a shocker (although I did see a truck cab style s1 (86-88) roof there...)
Until you pointed it out I didnt realise the other had already gone, it was reversed in in front of the one thats still there.
