    Series 1 Floorboard Screws

I've purchased a number of floorboard screws for a Series 1 but I'm not sure where they were used. They have a hex head rather than the usual domed slotted head and a Acme thread. Were they used for the removable panels under the seats or were they used to hold the floor panels down ? I can imagine they could be a nuisance on the floor because you might catch your boots on them. They came from a gentleman who worked at Regent Motors assembling chassis back in the 50's. Colin

You will probably find that they were used over the transmission tunnel and not the floor and on the 86, 107 etc. The 80" used captive BSF nuts rather than speed nuts.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Hi Colin,
I have seen these used on the floors, gearbox tunnel and the cover in the centre of the seatbase, think the use of them may have been a hangover from 80" landy production.
I dont have a later workshop manual or parts book on me to check

These are the bolts that hold the mudguards to the bulkhead side posts. The floor fastenings are dome headed with a straight screwdriver slot

Maybe for a series 2A or 3 but the bolts that fastern the mudguards to the fire wall on series 1s are more of a fine threaded bolt.
