    Hi Everyone,

PM me if you can help.

    Take care,

    sender

    Hi Kris

I met you at the series 1 day at Upper Beaconsfield, a few years back.

Is the sender unit the same as a 80" , I have a few spares ? The sender units are pretty well bomb proof, nothing goes wrong that a decent clean won't fix.

Will a Britpart fuel sender fit my S1?

    Hi Mike,

Nice to hear from you again. Yes it has been a long time ago. Have a look how Hebe changed since that time www.landroverseries.org. I will put some more pictures and stories on the process later.

I appreciate your offer. I think it should be the same. I will PM you. I was planning on coming to the last LROCV meeting but couldn't make it. I hope next time will be OK.

Not sure what I did. But I got some kind of short when playing behind the panel. It could be that the gauge is gone, or both the gauge and sender.

Do you know about Britpart? I found a Britpart (Land Rover) fuel sender. I'm told it has part number 90560612. Would this fit a series I tank? (1958, 2.0 petrol, 12 volt). I have a suspicion it is for a series III.

    Thanks

    Kris

" Is the sender unit the same as a 80" "

The cover of a 80" sender unit has got 3 screws ,all the other S1 have 4. A lot of 12v sender units will fit and work ,but they won't be accurate. My S1 has got a diesel unit fitted. When the light starts blinking I know I've got about 80km of fuel left ,when it stays on solid 25. For me that's more practical than the correct gauge. W.
