    canopies and ute cabs

I have just got an 86' hardtop canopy and i am now looking at a ute cab that is for a 86'. I was wondering how hard it is to get the ute cab to fit an 80'?
also has anyone repaired a s1 hardtop where they crack( above the door)?

    hello

I have seen a few 80" hardtops around Gippsland , I've not bothered with them, like sitting inside a tin can with ghetto blaster flat out

The 80" cab only tops are nigh on impossible to find out here for some reason . You can spot them by the narrow panel behind the door window , the 86 107 tops / have a wider panel .

Mike is correct, there were very few 80" truck cabs, those that have them are usually using the roof off a later 86/88/107/109 S1. Probably because almost the only 80" that had OEM truck cabs were fire engines in the 1952-53 models.

You can tell a genuine 80" truck cab, because of the shape of the gal reinforcing panel on the lower corners. (Secret judges/anorak business )

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The 86-109 truck cab will fit the 80" but it overhangs the 80" transom by about 6" so you can't fit the spare in the back of the 80".

When I bought my 80in, the seller gave me a series one truck cab that is very very straight, not sure if it's an 80in or otherwise, it's def a series one cab. He did say that it fits the 80....looking to swap for a soft top and sticks if anyone is interested..

Yes it is the genuine article, I hope you grabbed it!

You will also notice it is a 1952-53 model without the firewall sidelights.
