I have acquired an Ian Thomas H15-5 PTO which looks like it might be off a Series 1. Being unfamiliar with the Series 1 gearboxes, I'm wondering if the Series guru's could advise me as to what it might fit.

						I don't think it's of a Series L/R.Series L/R s only have 6 mounting holes not 8.

That's exactly what had me puzzled and the reason for my comment re "Being unfamiliar with the Series 1 gearboxes"
When I picked it up, the owner said that he also had one for a Toyota .................. it looks like I may have ended up with the wrong one.
I must get back to him and sort it out before I catch some sort of Toy... virus

As BSFnut says. Same PTO fits all Series Landrovers except Stage 1, and possibly One Ton, not sure about it.

With eight mounting bolt holes, it should fit the Range Rover/101 transmission (LT95?). I have no idea if it will fit later LT77/R380 and LT230 transmissions, but as noted earlier Series PTOs only have six mounting bolts. I also know early LandCruisers have PTOs that run off the side of the Transfer case, not the back like Landies.

Hi Roger, I could bring around a Series and an LT95 PTO if you'd like to compare.
If it suits an LT95 I am seeking more bits for my set up...
It looks like a PTO for a Range Rover 4 speed with the PTO popping up through the floor, between the seats. Most of the 4 speed didn't have the cubby box. In any case the PCD looks like the LT95 rear cover rather than the series.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Thanks Mark. It would be good to verify what it actually suits and the billy is usually boiling here, just give me a call when you've got time to drop in just to make sure I'm not away.
Maybe you could bring the leaf spring lubricator also, if you've finished with it.
Diana - the PCD is roughly 165mm. I'm not familiar with dimensions of the LT95 box but better if someone can use it rather than seeing it scrapped as the previous owner may have ended up doing.

I have a PTO to suit a similar winch that fits a series gearbox. PM me if you are interested.
