It should have a chassis number on one of the rear spring hangers or on one of the front dumb irons (I think it depends which State it originates from and therefore which company built it).
Mine's an 86" and it is on the dumb iron but there is also a 3 digit number stamped on the rear spring hanger.

There is a cut-off date for the body coloured chassis but mine is a '56 with a body coloured chassis which is outside the norm. May be a CKD thing.....

    top front LHS

Another spot for the serial number is on top of the chassis under the cutout in the radiator panel on the LHS rail.
