And very dangerous, I cannot remember the hubs' brand now, but I had some automatic hubs fitted to my first Land Rover.

They disengaged under engine braking, not what is needed on slippery grass heading down a steep hill.

    That didnt take long
Back home again, it breezed through the RWC, all good
Yes the hubs are branded MAP, quite rare too.
These are manual with a screwdriver slot on the side.
I believe MAP have a hub that looks the same outside but is an automatic.

Took the GPS in to check the speedo again.
A good cruising speed is 80k on the GPS and it shows 58MPH on the speedo

Perhaps these are auto with the screw to lock it on the over run. I cant remember now. Mike can have fun sorting them out.
They are oil lubed from the swivel.

    Hit a wall with research

Cant find out much more except some Canadians say they are the best hubs. Looks like MAP sold Thor hubs rebadged or visa versa. If the end float is good and it passed the roadworthy ok should be no wobbles .
I'm putting together my tool kit and bits and pieces. Off to the quack to get a chunck of my nose removed after lunch. Anyone who knows a bit more about these hubs or has a diagram etc please let me know.

Rember the WA quarantine stop on the way home. They raid your esky, I think it's the only way they get food out there.

    Good luck

Picked him up yesterday PM. Transferred the papers.
Few Grogs and a late night yarning.
Now he is on his way to Brisbane this morning.
It was great to meet you and hope all goes well.
